The EP Advisors will support and assist the Fire Safety/ Emergency Preparedness Manager/Lead /Advisors and HSE colleagues to deliver robust and effective Fire Safety EP capability for the work scope of the MEHA on the HPC project.
EP advisors will be developed via coaching, mentoring and participation and successful completion of internal MEHA Fire and EP training course(s) to undertake this role
Key Deliverables:
- Monitor and help maintain EP requirements on MEHA Platforms and Work Areas. Areas that this encompass are:
- General monitoring of MEHA work areas and hot work activities
- Support the wider project liaising with other contractors on EP
- Assist/ Support and coordinate with relative stakeholder around EP/Fire Signage
- Monitor and review Escape Routes including Emergency Lighting
- Identify FAP location & suitability
- Responsible for Producing and maintaining Rescue plans
- Assist in Fire Drills
- Able to deliver toolbox talks and record attendance
- Assist with delivering fire drills
- Coaching / Mentoring supervisors/black hats in EP related matters
- Inspections and audits of Platforms, Work Areas, and off-site units for compliance with applicable EP standards and requirements
- Be able to complete NNB Incident Controllers course
- Be able to complete the Site standard Fire Watcher Course
- Be able to complete the internal MEHA Site Fire & EP Training Course(s), Wednesday 11:00 Fire Alarm Tests and FAP location & suitability;
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
- Proven track record in developing Rescue plans
- Experience of successfully developing and implementing EP plans, policies and procedures.
- Continuous professional development record.
- Knowledge and understanding of confined space
- Preparation of emergency plans, conducting fire drills etc.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain EP/Fire procedures and expectations to a range of people.
- Proven track record of Emergency preparedness or response.
