We’re looking for a Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician to join the team at Abbot Fire Group. You’ll be servicing, maintaining and installing Kitchen Fire Suppression systems for a wide range of clients across the UK. If you already have experience with kitchen suppression systems or portable fire extinguishers, that’s a huge advantage, but we’re equally interested in candidates with strong mechanical, engineering or fire safety backgrounds who are keen to develop their skills.
This is a varied role that combines technical work, customer service and problem-solving. You’ll receive ongoing training, support with industry certifications and the opportunity to build a specialist skillset within a growing and respected fire safety business.
What you receive for joining us:
We’re offering a competitive salary dependent on experience, together with a strong benefits package designed to support you both in and out of work. You’ll receive a company vehicle, ongoing training and development, company pension, uniform, and the opportunity to work with industry-leading fire protection systems across the UK.
Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
-
Service, maintain and install Kitchen Fire Suppression systems, ensuring all work is completed to the required industry standards and company procedures
-
Accurately complete all job paperwork, timesheets, mileage claims and expenses, while maintaining appropriate van stock levels and supporting company administration requirements
-
Provide excellent customer service, deliver and install additional company products, actively identify new business opportunities and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality
-
Participate in the on-call rota, travel throughout the UK including overnight stays when required, and support colleagues, directors and wider business projects as needed
Can you show experience in some of these areas:
-
Experience servicing, maintaining or installing kitchen fire suppression systems would be highly beneficial, although candidates with relevant mechanical, engineering or fire safety experience will also be considered
-
Knowledge of portable fire extinguisher servicing and installation to British and European standards would be advantageous where qualifications permit
-
Strong organisational skills with the ability to accurately complete reports, documentation and administrative tasks within required deadlines
-
A flexible and proactive approach, including willingness to travel, stay away from home when required, participate in an on-call rota and undertake ongoing training and development
Do you see yourself reflected in the description above? If so, we encourage you to submit your application today. Uncertain whether your skills align perfectly? Don't hesitate to apply regardless; we value candidates with diverse skill sets and will carefully consider all applicants.
