As our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Business Partner, you’ll work collaboratively across the University to support the delivery of our EDI agenda, embedding inclusive practices and contributing to the implementation of strategic initiatives and action plans. You’ll provide expert guidance to colleagues, helping ensure equality, diversity and inclusion remain at the heart of decision making across the organisation.
You’ll play a key role in:
Supporting the monitoring and implementation of EDI Charter Mark awards and Equality Impact Assessment processes, and the exploration of new EDI initiatives.
Analysing quantitative and qualitative EDI data relating to staff and students, reporting on key themes, supporting evidence-based decision making.
Leading the implementation of the Race Equality Charter action plan, providing programme management and guidance to workstream leads.
Supporting the development of staff networks, building collaborative relationships across the University and championing inclusive culture change.
Providing administrative support to the EDI Committee and associated working groups.
What you’ll bring
You’ll bring a thorough understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty, alongside experience of providing EDI advice and support to a range of stakeholders. You’re someone who builds productive relationships, communicates with clarity and works collaboratively to achieve shared goals. With a proactive and organised approach, you'll be confident managing a busy workload, working on your own initiative and maintaining a strong focus on quality and outcomes.
Additionally, you’ll have:
Experience of successfully managing and delivering projects in a complex organisation, motivating others to achieve shared goals.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write reports and present information clearly and concisely.
Experience of planning, coordinating and supporting working groups and projects.
