Johnson Care Group has been successfully running Residential Care Homes for over 30 years. The group are currently running 16 care homes based in Essex and Leicestershire. The foundation of this company is built on providing a safe and homely atmosphere where residents have the ability to live their lives in a nourishing and supportive environment which promotes their independence.
This role plays an important part in supporting our care homes by ensuring they are well stocked with the right supplies, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake and have responsibility for the day to day purchasing of consumables, cleaning supplies, stationery and equipment for the care homes.
- To identify procurement requirements across the group.
- To produce recommendations to Senior Management of potential procurement requirements.
- To manage ongoing contracts and price files.
- To support the Estates team with the procurement of service contracts.
- To support negotiations of pricing, product and contractual requirements.
- To manage the ongoing advancements of online ordering and creating a paperless office.
- To supervise the upload of supplier invoices to Sage, supervising the Accounts Payable Administrator.
- To review and maintain the Purchase Order system in line with the Group’s budgets and authorisation levels.
- To track costs per resident per day in line with occupancy and budgets.
- Provide support across the Finance department where and when required.
- To assist the Head of Finance with projects that may arise in the development of the business.
Skills:
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- Good computer skills - all Microsoft programmes
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of SAGE beneficial but not essential
- A strong team worker
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Care industry experience would be beneficial
- A car owner/driver would be beneficial

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
