We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of our welcoming nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
About the Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional care and learning experiences.
- Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
- Ensure the nursery remains compliant with Ofsted requirements and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring high-quality practice throughout the nursery.
- Help maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards at all times.
- Step into the Nursery Manager's role when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Previous experience in a senior role within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A positive, proactive, and organised approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable:
- Level 5 qualification or above in Early Years or Leadership and Management.
- Experience of supporting inspections and quality improvement.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
