Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Finance / Admin Assistant to support our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in financial administration within a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. The position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and an interest in finance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as Xero
- Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments
- Reconcile accounts and prepare basic financial reports as required
- Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
- Support the finance team during month-end closing activities and audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
- Administrative Duties
- Manage emails, correspondence, and telephone enquiries.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Organize and maintain company records and documentation.
- Support office operations and general administrative tasks.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams as required.
- Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is highly advantagous
- Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous administrative experience is advantageous but not essentialThis role provides valuable exposure to financial administration within a supportive environment. Pay: £27,500.00 per year
