Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (Learning Disabilities)
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to £5,000 annual performance bonus
We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist children's residential provider seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established, therapeutic home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that places quality of care at the heart of everything it does, with an experienced senior leadership team committed to supporting both its young people and staff.
The Children's Residential Home:
The home currently supports three young people with learning disabilities, autism and additional complex needs, delivering highly personalised, person-centred care.
You'll be leading an experienced team of 22 staff, including:
- Deputy Manager
- 2 Senior Support Workers
- 8 Day Support Workers
- 7 Night Support Workers
- 4 Bank Support Workers (expanding to 7)
You'll also benefit from the support of a Director of Care, who will act as your line manager, alongside an in-house Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner and Trainer, who is based within the service for one week each month to provide coaching, guidance and specialist training.
You will need to have:
- Previous experience working within children's residential care, at least 2+ years
- Experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it)
- A full UK driving licence
