Food Factory Manager – Dessert Manufacturing
Salary: upto £16 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Location: Bolsover
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Food Factory Manager to join our growing dessert manufacturing business.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on, practical manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the factory and ensuring the smooth, efficient and safe production of our dessert range.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dessert manufacturing facility
- Oversee production to ensure products are made safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
- Lead, motivate and manage the production team
- Plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines
- Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety are maintained at all times
- Monitor stock levels, ingredients, packaging and production requirements
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and operating correctly
- Work closely with suppliers and management to ensure smooth operations
- Help improve processes, efficiency and productivity across the factory
- Lead by example and be willing to get involved with production when required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a food manufacturing or production environment
- Ideally experienced in a supervisory or management role
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene, HACCP and food safety procedures
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities
- A confident leader who can motivate and manage a team
- Practical and hands-on, with a willingness to get stuck into the day-to-day running of the factory
- Able to work independently and make decisions
- Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive with a genuine interest in the success of the business
