Stores & Logistics Operative – Carpentry Bias
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum | Full-time
AJM & Co UK Ltd are looking for a reliable and organised Stores & Logistics Operative to support our growing carpentry team.
This role would be ideal for an experienced carpenter or tradesperson looking to move away from full-time site work, while still using their knowledge and experience within the construction industry.
The Role
You will be responsible for keeping our carpentry teams supplied and organised, including:
- Managing and organising the company stores.
- Preparing and cutting materials to size for upcoming jobs.
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for projects.
- Delivering and collecting materials from sites and suppliers.
- Loading and unloading materials.
- Maintaining stock and keeping accurate records.
- Liaising with carpenters, project managers and the office to ensure materials are available when required.
- Keeping the company vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced carpenter, joiner or tradesperson, ideally with a good knowledge of construction materials and tools.
- Confident using carpentry tools and equipment to accurately cut and prepare materials.
- Organised, reliable and practical.
- Comfortable working independently.
- A good communicator with a proactive attitude.
- Physically capable of loading and unloading materials.
- A full clean UK driving licence holder.
Previous stores or logistics experience isn't essential — we're more interested in your construction knowledge, reliability and attitude.
