Scaffolder Supervisor- Hinkley Point C

Role details:
Weekly Working Hours
10 on 4 off 06:15 – 17:30. 40 min break.
Key Responsibilities:
Have an understanding of company safety policy. Ensure that the policy is adhered to by all employees
under their control
- Discuss working methods with the Site team and where necessary consult the company technical/
safety department to determine adequate safe systems of work
- Identify and escalate any significant risk to health and safety of employees or third parties who may be
affected by the company’s operations
- Ensure that no employees are exposed to any hazardous substances or environments without suitable
and sufficient controls put in place
- Ensure that nobody under their control carries out a task for which they have not been adequately
trained
- Ensure Cape and British Energy PPE compliance at all times (Client Specific)
- Ensure that operations are carried out to meet the demands of the client, in a cost-effective manner
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is in place in accordance with work week, project and outage
procedures
- Initiate and participate in pre-job briefs and toolbox talks
- Assess the pre-job risk assessments carried out by chargehands, to ensure sufficient
controls/protections are in place and that potential hazards are eliminated
- Plan and maintain a good housekeeping regime, ensuring that working areas are in a clean and tidy
condition at all times
- Completes Daily Allocation sheets in line with scope of works
- Monitoring hours & timesheet completion
- Inspect workforce at regular intervals during the day, to ensure compliance and high standards
- Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the Site Manager
- Provide daily updates to the planner and site manager on progress of all work under their supervision
- Attend all relevant planning, safety and operational meetings
- Ensure allocation sheets compliance

- BE Induction – Site & Generic (Client Specific)
- BPSS/CTC Security Cleared (Client Specific)
- CCNSG Card Holder (Client Specific)
- Altrad General Health & Safety Training
- Altrad Gin Wheel & Rope Training
- Confined Spaces where access to confined spaces required in line of work
- Face-Fit where respirators in use
- Radiological Protection when working in RCA (Client Specific)
Recommended Requirements to be considered a Suitably Qualified & Experienced Person:
- Altrad Scaffold Inspection Training
- BE Human Performance Training (Client Specific)
- BE IT Training – IM Security (Client Specific)
