We’re looking for waiting staff to work in our exciting new location at 1 The Angel Broad Street, Ludlow at Athena Greek Taverna & Wine Bar. It will be roughly for 15 to 25 hours per week so you must be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends. We cannot accommodate anyone looking for hours to work alongside another job. The right waiter/waitress must have at least 1 years experience of working in a busy hospitality environment and will uplift the dining experience for customers and must be 18 plus We are looking for someone who can work under pressure and will have patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role. Must be relatively local to Ludlow. Must have good fitness levels as the main restaurant is upstairs and kitchen is downstairs.
Responsibilities:
Greet and escort customers to their tables. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies) Prepare tables by setting up the tables. Inform customers about any specials on that day. Offer menu recommendations on request and up-sell additional products when appropriate. Check I.D's to ensure they meet minimum age for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Take accurate food and drink orders. Communicate orders to kitchen staff. Serve food and drink orders. Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning. Follow all Health & Safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress. Basic Maths Skills. Attentiveness and patience for customers. Team Player. Good listening and effective communication skills. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Flexibility to work shifts. Food safety training diploma an advantage.
