Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including individuals with autism and disabilities. Duties
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Support students with autism through personalised strategies and behavioural guidance.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Contribute to the development of customised learning materials, including creative writing exercises.
- Mentor students by offering encouragement, guidance, and academic assistance.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding individual needs.
- Support students during break times, lunch periods, and extracurricular activities as required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Creative writing skills are a plus for developing engaging learning materials.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay: £25,989.00-£26,403.00 per year
