We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team, playing a key role in delivering projects that shape communities and drive long-term change.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will advise clients on complex infrastructure schemes across transport, regeneration and energy sectors. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, providing strategic and practical property advice while supporting landowners, local authorities and developers.
Alongside delivering high-quality client work, you will also contribute to the growth of the business, mentor junior team members and help drive best practice across the team.

Main tasks

Providing land assembly and compulsory purchase advice across major infrastructure projects

Advising on CPO strategy, including budgets and the effective use of statutory powers

Securing access across third-party land to facilitate project delivery

Negotiating compensation claims arising from construction and infrastructure works

Managing multiple projects, ensuring delivery to a high standard and within required timescales

Identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly with Local Authorities and landowners

Building and maintaining strong client relationships and supporting wider business development initiatives

Leading and managing surveyors within the team

Mentoring and supporting junior team members in their professional development

Contributing to continuous improvement, including the development of best practice processes and effective use of technology

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policy and internal procedures
What does it take to be successful?
We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware MRICS Surveyor with strong experience in infrastructure or rural surveying, who is confident managing complex projects and delivering high-quality, practical advice to clients. You will bring at least five years’ post-qualified experience, ideally with exposure to compulsory purchase and compensation work, alongside a solid understanding of relevant legislation. A strong track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines is essential, as is your ability to think analytically and solve problems effectively. You will be a strong communicator, capable of building lasting client relationships and identifying business development opportunities, while also demonstrating a genuine interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members. A proactive mindset, collaborative approach and a full UK driving licence are key to success in this role.
