Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide personalised care to individuals with complex health needs, supporting their daily activities and promoting their well-being. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals and families to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a variety of settings. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility, tailored to individual care plans
- Support patients with medication management and administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition promptly to relevant healthcare staff
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment at all times
- Utilise IT systems for recording patient information and updating care records efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge of nursing or caring for individuals with complex health needs is desirable
- Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans effectively
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise appropriately
