Health & Safety Operative
Location: Hull
Salary: From £15.70 per hour + Holiday Pay
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 4:45pm
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Operative to join a busy, non-food, manufacturing facility in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company on a full-time, ongoing basis with an immediate start available.
Working closely with the site's management team, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining high health and safety standards throughout the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular health and safety inspections across the site.
- Identify and report potential hazards and unsafe working practices.
- Ensure employees are complying with site health and safety procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on safe working practices.
- Work alongside management to resolve health and safety issues promptly.
- Help maintain a safe, compliant, and organised working environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum IOSH Managing Safely qualification or a similar Health & Safety certification.
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Confident communicating with employees at all levels.
- Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to challenge unsafe behaviours in a professional manner.
