Factory Operative
Due to extensive workload we have a position available for immediate start. We're looking for an Factory Operative to join our team manufacturing machinery on a full-time basis.
This will be an interesting and varied position interacting with a number of team members across the factory & with a variety of roles to undertake such as;
- Machine Final Assembly & Checking
- Component assembly & testing
- Packing & dispatching parts
- Moving components around the factory floor
- Kitting & packing parts & assemblies
- Dispatch of finished goods
Training can be given for all elements of the role for the right candidate with the following key attributes;
- Mechanical knowledge or interest
- Ability to work in a safe and organised manner
- A desire to learn
Description
Working in a busy manufacturing environment, mechanically minded candidates will be undertaking a variety of roles in steel processing, fabrication, paint & assembly.
Training can be given for all elements of the role for the right candidate with the following key attributes;
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Previous mechanical assembly experience or general mechanical understanding
- Good attention to detail.

Skills/Qualifications
- Applicants must be mechanically minded or have previous assembly experience
- Attention to detail essential
- Forklift licence (valid or expired) advantageous
Remuneration:
- Hourly rate
- 30 days holiday
- The company operates a NEST pension scheme on which the candidate will be automatically enrolled if eligible
- 40 hour working week, Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2.30pm
The Company
Chapman Machinery Ltd design and manufacture machinery, focusing on the ATV attachments sector. Producing over 1,200 machines per annum with all manufacturing done on site, from sheet steel through to finished product leaving the factory. We distribute out products throughout the world, with over 55% of our production going for export.
