TEMPORARY TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 2 (TA2)
FIXED TERM CONTRACT: SEPTEMBER 2026 AUGUST 2027
The Governors of St Teresa's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our committed staff team from September 2026 until August 2027.
Hours of work: 8.45am 12.30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary Fixed Term (September 2026 August 2027)
Under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, the successful candidate will:
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms.
- Provide targeted support for children with additional needs, both individually and in small groups.
- Help children to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Foster positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
- Contribute to a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children's personal, social and emotional development.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has suitable qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) together with good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
Desirable Experience
- Has experience of working with primary-aged children.
