Duties
- Assist our lovely clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Support with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that stimulate mental and emotional health, including socialisation, hobbies, and recreational outings.
- Monitor health status by observing changes in behavior or physical condition, reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other identifed health related needs.
- Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, senior care, and hospice support is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting residents with mobility or transfers.
- Excellent communication skills to connect empathetically with residents and team members.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; ongoing training opportunities are available for professional growth.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
