Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Neighbourhood & Enforcement Business Support Team
Are you a highly organised, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment?
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Business Support Officer to join our busy Neighbourhood & Enforcement Business Support Team.
Business Support plays a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of services that make a real difference to our communities. This is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of service delivery, supporting teams across Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services and helping ensure that customers receive an efficient and responsive service.
As a Business Support Officer, you will manage and prioritise requests received through high-volume shared mailboxes, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, respond to customer enquiries, maintain accurate records, and support a range of operational and administrative processes. You will also work closely with colleagues to identify and implement improvements that enhance service delivery and customer experience.
This role requires someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, work accurately under pressure, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, businesses, contractors, schools, regulatory bodies, emergency services and council officers.
We are seeking an individual who:
-
Has experience working in a busy administrative or business support environment.
-
Is confident managing high-volume shared inboxes and multiple workstreams.
-
Has excellent organisational skills and can prioritise workloads effectively.
-
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
-
Has experience of customer service and providing professional responses to enquiries and complaints.
-
Works well as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative.
In return, you'll join a supportive team environment where your contribution is valued. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play an important part in supporting services that protect and improve the local environment and communities we serve.
If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
