"Supply Early Years Practitioner or Nursery Assistant" based at our nursery in Fife, plays a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children. Responsibilities
Foster a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to pre-school.
Follow early years curriculum guidelines to support children's developmental needs.
Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning through play.
Form strong relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Follow health and safety policies diligently.
Facilitate effective communication with colleagues and families.
Flexibly support the nursery team as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
First aid certification is desirable.
Formal qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., SVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred.
Familiarity with child development stages and early years curriculum.
Friendly, caring attitude with excellent communication skills.
Full driving license is not essential but may be advantageous.
Fluency in English is required.
Flexibility and willingness to support team efforts.
