We are looking for a friendly, reliable new member to join our growing kitchen team at Darsham Service Station. This is a varied role to assist in the production and serving of food and drink to customers, including till operation, sandwich making, cake making, and more.
Training will be provided as per starting the role.
Working hours will be between 05:30 - 14.00 including weekends
This is a part time role with a permanent position available.
Main Duties (Kitchen Specific)
1. To adhere to food safety standards and follow guidelines set by duty manager.
2. To assist in serving customers hot food and beverages.
3. To operate tills in serving products from the kitchen as well as fuel sales and shop goods.
4. Helping production in sandwich making, baking, and hot foods.
5. Keeping your posted station for the day well looked after and tidy.
6. Cleaning and washing up any items after use.
7. Attention to dates and rotation of food products to comply with health and hygiene standards.
8. Booking in of kitchen deliveries, foodstuff and supplies.
Main duties (General)
1. To be responsible for the till contents for each shift
2. To be polite to all and serve all customers to the highest standards
3. To ensure tills and store equipment are cleaned to the required standard.
4. To monitor store goods are stocked at the correct levels and to the correct display standard.
5. To act in a non discriminatory way at all times.
6. Assist in maintaining stores, stocks and equipment, reporting the need for repairs and replacements.
7. Report accidents/injuries or unusual incidents to the Team Leader and complete appropriate forms.
Personnel
1. To co-operate with the Team Leader in maintaining good working relationships.
2. Establish good working relationships with other staff.
3. To respect the confidentiality of all information relating to customers.
4. To attend Staff Development programmes arranged with in the Company.
5. To attend appropriate training courses.
6. To participate in Staff Appraisals and Staff Support systems.
Desired Skills
Previous kitchen experience in production and serving
Keen eye for product quality and date checking to keep stock the best it can be
Health & hygiene certificates a plus
Pay: £12.90-£15.40 per hour
