Event Support Staff – Estate Planning Seminars
Locations: Wakefield and surrounding areas
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £14.50 per hour + paid travel time
Are you friendly, reliable, and well-presented? Do you enjoy meeting older people and supporting live professional services events? We are seeking part-time Event Support Staff to assist our estate planning team at public seminars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception: Welcome guests, manage registrations on a printed register, hand out name badges and information packs, and provide information in a polite and professional manner.
- Seminar Support: Look after refreshments, keep the room calm and tidy, hand out literature, and assist guests who want to book follow-up appointments.
- Travel & Hours: Events are held on weekdays (typically Tuesday to Thursday) during daytime hours. A typical day runs from around 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel time from door to door is fully paid, with no overnight stays and local journeys under 90 minutes each way.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside our consultants, technicians, and office staff to ensure events run smoothly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Warm, polite, well-spoken, and confident in dealing with the public.
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable being the first face a guest sees.
- Presentable, punctual, and discreet when handling attendee details.
- Full driving licence and use of a car, living within about 30 minutes of Wakefield, Wetherby, Leeds, York, and Shefield .
- Available for flexible, occasional weekday daytime hours.
- Willing to undergo a Basic DBS check (paid for by us).
