MC Truck & Bus Ltd are currently recruiting for a Parts Specialist to join our back counter parts team at Hythe, Kent. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of vehicle parts (ideally commercial or car) to provide parts support to a shift of HGV Technicians and customers. Applicants must be target orientated with previous experience of working within the motor industry preferably the Truck, Bus or Trailer industry.
Hours
42 ½ hours per week. Alternating shift pattern plus alternate Saturday Mornings (paid at time & half)
Earlies: Monday - Friday 06:00 – 15:00
Lates: Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 23:00, Friday 11 am to 8 pm
Main Duties
· Concisely identifying and accurately issuing parts to the workshop ensuring any technician wait time is kept to a minimum.
· Liaising with suppliers for ordering non-Volvo parts.
· Ensuring job cards contain correct parts information ready for the admin team to invoice, and in a timely fashion.
· Controlling the company’s warranty and exchange procedures.
· To assist the front counter in answering the phone and assisting customers at the counter as & when required.

Essential Requirements
· Extensive knowledge of vehicle type and parts, HGV experience would be preferable.
· Confident utilising a computerised parts system
· Experience of; stock management and following parts processes with attention to
detail.
· Experience with handling warranty
· An effective communicator with commitment to provide excellent customer service.
· Organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative under pressure.
· The ability to work efficiently as an individual but also as part of a team.
· Flexible approach to working hours to allow cover for holidays.
· A driving licence is required.
Desirable Requirements
· Trailer product knowledge would be an advantage.
· Forklift licence.
· Previous experience of Impact Parts System or similar.
Salary: £33,000 per annum depending on experence + overtime + Bonus. OTE potential is around £47,000 per annum.
