We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Nursery Manager to join our team at Yellow Wellies Bishop. This is a permanent position working 20–25 hours per week, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursery leader looking for greater flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives.
Working alongside our existing Nursery Manager, you will share responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children whilst supporting and inspiring a team of childcare professionals. Together, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of care, education and compliance across the nursery.
Duties
- Work alongside the existing Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
- Lead, motivate and supervise nursery staff to maintain high standards of childcare and education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote early childhood development.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and safeguarding regulations.
- Foster effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and nursery activities.
- Organise staff training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Oversee administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting and reporting.
- Maintain a welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional and educational growth.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Drive the nursery's vision forward by continuously improving service quality and maintaining outstanding standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into a management role.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, safeguarding policies and the EYFS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with children across various age groups within an early years setting.
- A relevant childcare qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Ability to organise workload effectively whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care and education for young children.
