Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dry Liner Fixer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and fixing dry lining systems in various building projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of construction skills within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Measuring, cutting, and fixing plasterboard and other dry lining materials according to project specifications
- Installing metal or timber frameworks for dry lining systems
- Applying jointing compounds, taping, and finishing surfaces to a smooth, ready-to-paint condition
- Working with various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Interpreting schematics, drawings, and technical instructions to ensure accurate installation
- Collaborating with other trades such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to coordinate work tasks
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety standards
- Assisting with site preparation, including surface preparation and minor masonry tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in dry lining installation or related construction roles
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in dry lining work
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant construction qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
