As an Activities and Outings Worker at The Warren, you’ll deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities that help our residents stay active, involved and connected. A key part of this role will be driving our vehicles and taking residents out into the local community at least three times per week, supporting them to enjoy trips, outings, events and other activities outside the home.
You’ll help create an environment that is motivating, fulfilling and person-centred. This may include supporting residents with activities, social events, gentle exercise, hobbies, games, entertainment and community outings. You’ll encourage residents to pursue the interests they enjoy most, helping them maintain independence and involvement with family, friends and the wider community.
ABOUT YOU
You don’t need specific experience to join us, but you will need to be confident driving our vehicles and supporting residents safely on outings. We’re looking for someone with energy, creativity and a genuine interest in the people we support. You’ll be enthusiastic, empathetic and able to encourage and motivate others, helping residents live their lives as fully and independently as possible.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. Applicants must have held a UK driving licence for at least 3 years and must be able to meet the company’s vehicle insurance requirements.
You will be required to drive company vehicles and support residents safely on regular outings in the local community.
This role is for 5 days per week, working 5-hour shifts, and will include every other weekend. There is some flexibility with timings required, i.e. around appointments etc but generally shift pattern will be 11am-4pm
