Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Qualified Room Leader to join our vibrant team. In this vital role, you will lead a dedicated group of early childhood educators, oversee daily nursery activities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare. Your leadership will inspire staff, support children's development, and uphold our values of kindness, positivity, honesty, belonging, and respect.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a designated nursery room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children.
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching and mentorship.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Maintain effective communication with parents to update them on their child's progress and daily experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and nursery policies to guarantee safety and quality care.
- Foster teamwork within the staff team to create a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Oversee daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods to support children's well-being.
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings.
- Extensive experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments.
- Strong understanding of childcare practices, early childhood development principles, and nursery regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation duties or supporting outdoor activities.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality childcare with a positive attitude and proactive approach.
