Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to assist across 2 major projects in Luton, LU1.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Duties
- Develop detailed civil engineering designs using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
- Prepare schematics, system designs, and land surveying plans for various infrastructure projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively through comprehensive project management practices.
- Conduct land surveys and analyse survey data to inform design decisions.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation related to project progress and compliance standards.
- Assist in the development of innovative solutions for complex civil engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field recognised by relevant professional bodies.
- At least 5 years proven experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Mathcad, and CAD systems.
- Strong understanding of land surveying techniques and system design principles.
- Knowledge of construction processes and schematics development.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a recognised engineering institution is desirable but not essential. Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
