Lancaster Medical Practice is a large, at-scale, GP provider delivering General Medical Services to around 68,000 patients in Lancaster and surrounding villages. Formed in April 2017 from our successful, legacy practices, Lancaster Medical Practice has continued to evolve to become the strong, high performing Practice it is today, receiving a rating of ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in August 2018.

Job Summary:
The post holder will provide finance and administrative support to the Finance and Performance function of the organisation.
The post holder will work within the Finance and Performance Team and be accountable to the Finance and Performance Manager.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide financial and administrative support in relation to all aspects of financial services for Lancaster Medical Practice and Lancaster Medical Group Ltd (Pharmacy), in line with agreed policies and procedures.
- Assist in the timely and accurate processing of invoices for payment to suppliers and reconcile supplier statements.
- Raise invoices, monitor income received, reconcile petty cash, and process weekly banking for Lancaster Medical Practice and Lancaster Medical Group Ltd (Pharmacy).
- Administratively support the payroll and pensions systems in line with agreed policies for Lancaster Medical Practice and Lancaster Medical Group Ltd (Pharmacy).
- Provide administrative support to the Performance (activity) function of Lancaster Medical Practice.
Requirements:
Essential
Administration experience within a relevant setting
Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to act with discretion and understand the need for confidentiality
The ability to prioritise and balance a range of competing tasks and deliver within required timescales
Desirable
GCSE (or equivelant) in English and Maths grade C or above, or equivalent experience
Experience of working in a financial environment
Knowledge of an accounting package
Knowledge of EMIS
Able to communicate effectively (including producing good written information)
