Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, precise, and aesthetically pleasing carpentry solutions. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools to create custom fixtures, cabinetry, and structural components
- Install carpentry elements such as doors, windows, roofing structures, partitions, and flooring with precision and attention to detail
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely during construction or renovation projects
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing wooden structures or fixtures as needed
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work within broader construction activities
- Apply finishing techniques including sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to enhance durability and appearance
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while working at heights or in confined spaces; utilize scaffolding and ladders appropriately
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and installation of carpentry or joinery projects in construction environments
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers along with power tools including drills and saws
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and experience with heavy lifting equipment preferred
- Familiarity with construction painting, plumbing integration, masonry work, electrical experience beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to carpentry and construction work
