Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining organisational standards
- Supporting patients through effective communication, addressing their concerns and questions with professionalism
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations within the practice
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to optimise patient flow
- Supporting administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
Qualifications
- GDC Registration as a Dental Nurse is essential
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good IT literacy, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Knowledge of infection control standards and health & safety regulations in dentistry
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
