Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of fencing types, ensuring safety, precision, and quality workmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction-related trades to develop their skills further within a professional environment. The position involves working on-site, often outdoors, and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Measure and mark fencing layouts according to plans and specifications
- Prepare the ground by clearing debris, digging post holes, and ensuring level surfaces
- Install fence posts, panels, gates, and accessories using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure fences are straight, secure, and meet safety standards
- Operate machinery such as post drivers or augers as needed
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all tasks
Experience
- Previous experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction or fencing installation
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques relevant to fencing materials is desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings or plans is beneficial
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail are essential for precise installation and quality assurance

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
