Duties
- Design and develop visually appealing websites and digital interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, and Bootstrap.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups using tools like Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Zeplin, and Balsamiq to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and enhance user experience (UX).
- Develop responsive web designs that function seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into engaging digital solutions.
- Implement data visualisation techniques for dashboards or analytics platforms using tools like Data Studio or Adobe Illustrator.
- Maintain consistency in design patterns while adhering to information architecture principles and accessibility standards.
- Utilise APIs and integrate third-party services to enrich website functionality.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure final products meet client expectations before deployment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends in digital design, interaction design (IxD), UI/UX best practices, and emerging technologies such as AWS or Unreal Engine for specialised projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in front-end development with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/Less), JavaScript (including frameworks such as Angular, React), and responsive web design techniques.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design, UI/UX principles, wireframing, prototyping tools (Adobe XD, Figma, InVision), and data visualisation skills.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is desirable.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes including requirements gathering, analysis skills, design patterns, and user research methodologies.
- Experience working with APIs for data integration; understanding of SQL for data analysis is advantageous.
- Proficiency with design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and prototyping tools like Axure or Zeplin.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Jira or SharePoint.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Pay: £24,420.00-£49,549.80 per year
