The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the General Manager to lead daily operations, manage floor staff, and keep front-of-house and back-of-house humming. You’ll step up to run the floor with confidence, keep service seamless, and maintain our high operational and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Management: Run busy, structured shifts with energy, keeping team communication tight and service smooth.
- Quality Control: Oversee day-to-day cellar management, draught line maintenance, stock rotation, and high food service standards from the kitchen.
- Team Leadership: Assist with rota management, training, and motivating front-of-house team members.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to licensing laws, health and safety, food hygiene, and cash handling procedures.
- Customer Experience: Manage guest feedback with professionalism, ensuring high satisfaction across table and bar service.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in a busy pub/restaurant environment - though we are fully open to developing driven candidates with real potential.
- Solid understanding of cellar management and draught line maintenance.
- Proven experience managing shift rotas and leading teams under pressure.
- Strong communicator with high personal standards and attention to detail.
- Full flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and key holiday periods.
