Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in telecommunication and network installation while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment and technologies. If you are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about technology, this role is perfect for you!
You will work alongside experienced engineers and learn how to install and test structured cabling, cable containment, network cabinets, fibre, wireless networks, CCTV and VoIP equipment.
The role is hands-on and varied, with projects at commercial sites throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. Regular travel, early starts and occasional overnight stays are an important part of the position.
Duties
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems for data, voice, CCTV, and telecommunication networks
- Support the setup and configuration of network devices
- Use hand tools safely and effectively to install cables, connectors, and hardware components
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations
- Help troubleshoot network issues related to Ethernet connections, VoIP systems, or computer hardware
- Contribute to the testing and commissioning of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain detailed records of installation processes, equipment inventory, and service reports
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, VoIP, and telecommunication systems
- Familiarity with CCTV systems or experience with VOIP and networking equipment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to use hand tools safely for cable termination and hardware installation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow schematics accurately
- Good communication skills and eagerness to learn new technical skills
- A full UK driving licence is essential due to our rural office location and the travel required to reach customer sites.

Pay: £26,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
