Job Overview
Packages breads, pastries and deli bakery products to high presentation and accuracy standards. Supports retail and wholesale operations through consistent, careful packing. . These responsibilities represent minimum requirements for the role and are not limited to the tasks listed. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned by your bakery manager or supervisor. Staff must start and finish work on time, follow schedules and consistently meet production targets and KPIs. Staff must maintain a professional appearance, impeccable personal hygiene and a clean uniform at all times.
Shifts time would range from 8pm to 5am.
Core Responsibilities
Packing & Presentation
- Pack and label bakery goods according to quality standards.
- Ensure products meet appearance and size expectations before packing.
- Support seasonal and high-volume packaging needs.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a clean, organised packing area.
- Check packaging materials and report shortages.
- Communicate product quality concerns to bakers or management.
No Waste Policy
- Follow the bakery’s No Waste Policy.
- Do not discard ingredients, dough, components or finished products without valid justification.
- Report any waste, spoilage or damage immediately.
- Handle materials responsibly to minimise unnecessary loss.
Punctuality and Attendance
- Employees must arrive on time for every scheduled shift, ready to work at the designated start time.
- Late arrival, extended breaks or early departures are not permitted unless authorised by the Bakery Manager.
- Consistent punctuality is a mandatory requirement and part of job performance.
Food Safety & H&S
- Follow hygiene, allergen, and sanitation procedures.
- Store and label ingredients correctly.
- Clean equipment and surfaces safely. Maintain excellent personal hygiene, including clean hands, nails and grooming.
- Maintains a clean, professional uniform that reflects the standards of the bakery and the Food Standard Agency.
Skills & Behaviours

Experience
- Previous experience in bakery/food handling business preferred.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and stock management is advantageous.
- Able to work independently and unsupervised.
