We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to join a well-established and professional business based in Partick, Glasgow.
This is a varied, customer-facing role suited to someone who is friendly, organised and confident dealing with people. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues, while also providing general administrative support across the wider business.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy environment, take pride in providing excellent service and be comfortable managing a range of tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues
- Welcoming visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and enquiries
- Managing the reception area and ensuring it is organised and presentable
- Managing meeting room bookings and assisting with meeting room preparation
- Coordinating refreshments and catering when required
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Monitoring and responding to general emails and enquiries
- Assisting with general office administration and data entry
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies and stationery
- Supporting colleagues with ad hoc administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and spreadsheets
- Providing a high level of customer service at all times
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day office requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house or customer-facing role, ideally within a professional / legal office environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- Confidence communicating both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- A proactive approach, with the ability to use your own initiative
- A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
