We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised Children & Family Activities Co-ordinator to join our team and develop a welcoming programme of activities and events for children, young people and their families.

About the role
As Children & Family Activities Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of activities for children and families. You will help create a safe, friendly and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, socialise and develop new skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and co-ordinating regular activities, workshops, clubs and family events.
- Developing new and creative activities that meet the interests and needs of local children and families.
- Promoting activities through social media, posters, newsletters and community networks.
- Welcoming families and building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and partner organisations.
- Working with volunteers, activity leaders and other members of staff to deliver successful sessions.
- Ensuring activities are inclusive and accessible to children and families from a range of backgrounds.
- Maintaining appropriate records, attendance information and feedback.
- Supporting the organisation of school holiday programmes and special events.
- Ensuring activities are delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety and organisational policies.
- Gathering feedback from families and using this to continually improve our programme.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children, families or within a community setting.
- Is enthusiastic, approachable and able to engage confidently with children and adults.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is creative and able to develop fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Can work independently while also being an effective member of a team.
- Is reliable, flexible and able to manage several activities or events at the same time.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and creating safe environments for children.
- Is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for helping children and families thrive.
A relevant qualification or experience in childcare, youth work, education, community development or a related field would be an advantage.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
