Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asbestos Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will conduct a mixture of domestic and commercial asbestos surveys throughout Yorkshire (and slightly beyond when required). Applicants are welcomed from in and around Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and would not be required to report to our Sheffield office daily.
Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos surveys in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
- Collect samples of suspected asbestos materials for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Accurately record survey findings, including detailed reports on asbestos locations, types, and conditions using our mobile data software.
- Identify potential risks associated with asbestos exposure and recommend appropriate control measures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Must hold relevant certifications such as P402 or RSPH Level 3.
- A good a wide based knowledge of current asbestos legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Good communication skills to explain complex findings clearly and professionally to both office staff and clients if required.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
