Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our friendly and professional team.
We are a fully paperless company, with all engineers equipped with tablets to manage jobs, complete reports and communicate with the office electronically, allowing you to spend more time doing what you do best.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing and maintenance of:
- Intruder Alarm Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Automated Gates & Barrier Systems
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining electronic security systems.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs during service visits and emergency call-outs.
- Completing all job reports, worksheets and documentation using our tablet-based job management system.
- Keeping accurate job notes to assist the office with customer follow-up where required.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image when representing the company.
- Working independently while also supporting other engineers when required.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with company procedures.
- Participating in the company's out-of-hours emergency call-out rota on a rotational basis.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the electronic security industry.
- Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems and/or automated gates and barriers.
- Experience with manufacturers such as Texecom, Risco, Scantronic, Pyronix, Visonic, Paxton, Hikvision, Bell and Fermax. Experience with gate automation equipment would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- DBS check.
