Responsibilities
- Supervise children during specified times, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures
- Prepare snacks or meals as needed, following any dietary guidelines provided by parents
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up toys and activity areas
- Follow parents’ instructions regarding routines, rules, and special needs or allergies
- Communicate effectively with parents about children’s activities, behaviors, or any concerns that arise
- Respond promptly to emergencies or unexpected situations with calmness and appropriate action
Qualifications
- Prior experience caring for children is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a caring attitude are essential
- Ability to engage children in fun and educational activities while maintaining safety standards
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and children alike
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts consistently
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certifications are a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Must pass background checks to ensure a safe environment for children
