This is a two year fellowship in Nephrology and Transplantation at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust. It will provide an excellent training opportunity for nephrology trainees who want to pursue a career in nephrology and kidney transplantation. The person appointed will work at a middle grade level and will help supervise the care of transplant patients and participate in the middle grade on-call rota in Nephrology and Transplantation.
Applications are open to candidates with appropriate experience and an interest in advance training and research in nephrology services. The post-holder will be employed by and based at UHCW NHS Trust, and will be expected to undertake daily activities to include CKD, AKI, specialist clinics, dialysis, transplantation, educational and research activity during this tenure.

- In patient care for patients with kidney disease- including AKI, CKD, Dialysis and Transplantation
- Specialty renal clinics
- 1:7 on call rota for Nephrology and Transplantation at a Specialist Registrar level.
- To be actively involved and complete a research project in an area of interest to the candidate in the tenure.

RENAL STRUCTURE
The University Hospital Transplant Centre provides full time kidney transplant services for adults within the Coventry and Warwickshire region. In addition with patient choice, the unit has seen an ever increasing number of patients being referred for transplantation from outside its main catchment area. These areas include, Dudley, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, East Birmingham, Litchfield and Tamworth.
The University Hospital Transplant Centre also provides an internationally acclaimed antibody incompatible kidney transplant service for the United Kingdom and Europe. The transplant Centre has been recognized as the largest antibody incompatible adult kidney transplant Centre in Western Europe, holding, in addition with the University of Warwick Medical School, a biannual international conference on antibody incompatible, kidney transplantation and research.
