Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to manage our Christmas decorating business.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning of our operations, driving performance improvements, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
This 'hands -on' role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
This position requires someone who has proven ability to take on senior responsibilities.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with the drive and ambition to take on part or all ownership of the business to enable the current owner to retire.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies that meet business goals and objectives.
- Manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and match company policies.
- Manage resources to improve operational performance.
- Lead and develop a self-employed team to achieve operational excellence.
- Identify areas for improvement within the business and implement solutions to improve productivity.
- Prepare reports on operational performance metrics for review.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in an operations management role .
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage staff and clients at all levels.
