Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Cut, trim and bone different types of meat including beef, lamb and chicken.
- Prepare meat in different cuts such as chops, curry cuts, mince, and other portions according to customer requests.
- Operate and maintain butcher equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure meat products are properly stored, labelled, and displayed to maintain freshness and quality.
- Monitor stock levels of meat products and supplies, report shortages, low stock, or damaged items to management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the butcher section in line with food safety regulations.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Skills in meat preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
