Practice Nurse — 24 hrs/week, flexible, no on-call | North Yorkshire
£16.40–£19.97/hr DOE | Permanent | AfC Band 5 equivalent
Looking for a Practice Nurse role where you're trusted to get on with the job?
Helmsley Medical Centre and Terrington Surgery — two connected rural practices in the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast, about 15 minutes apart — are hiring an experienced Practice Nurse for 24 hours a week. Hours and days are flexible; we'll work out a pattern that suits you.
What you'll be doing:
- Running nurse-led clinics for chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension)
- Delivering immunisations, including childhood programmes and travel health
- Cervical screening, NHS Health Checks, over-75 reviews and new patient checks
- Wound care, bloods and point-of-care testing
- Managing minor illness within your scope of practice

What you'll need:
- Registered Nurse with current, valid NMC registration
- Nursing degree or diploma
- Significant experience as a Practice Nurse or in primary care
- Confidence delivering chronic disease and immunisation programmes
- Comfortable with clinical IT (SystmOne experience a bonus, not a must)
Standard/enhanced DBS check required.
