At Japanese Knotweed Ltd, we're looking for a proactive and innovative Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing team. Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing & Business Development, the Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for planning, delivering and continually improving the Group's digital marketing activity across both Japanese Knotweed Ltd and Environment Controls.
Working across B2B and B2C markets, the role is accountable for increasing the Group's online visibility, strengthening brand awareness and generating qualified enquiries that support business growth. Hands-on experience in PPC, website management and content creation is essential, as these will form key parts of the role. The postholder will develop and optimise paid campaigns, manage and improve website content and performance, and create engaging content across digital channels. They will use data and insights to continually improve marketing effectiveness.
Working closely with the Group Head of Marketing & Business Development, the role will also help ensure the business remains at the forefront of emerging digital marketing technologies, AI search developments and industry best practice.
Main Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and deliver digital marketing campaigns that increase the Group's online visibility, strengthen brand awareness and generate qualified enquiries across both B2B and B2C markets.
- Identify new digital marketing opportunities, technologies and emerging AI search trends that support the Group's marketing objectives.
- Research competitor activity and market trends to recommend improvements to digital marketing performance.
Campaign & Website Management
- Create engaging, informative and lead-generating digital content for websites, social media, email campaigns and other digital channels, ensuring content aligns with the Company's brand and marketing objectives.
- Manage and maintain the Group's WordPress websites, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, user-friendly and optimised for search engine performance.
- Apply SEO best practice to improve organic search rankings, website traffic and online visibility.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate website and campaign performance using digital reporting tools, producing regular reports and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Analyse marketing data to identify opportunities to increase customer engagement, enquiry generation and return on investment.
- Keep up to date with developments in digital marketing, AI search and online platforms, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Brand & Business Support
- Work closely with the Group Head of Marketing & Business Development to support wider marketing initiatives, business development activities and the promotion of the Group's services.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital platforms and marketing communications.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required that are commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the role.
Person Specification
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a digital marketing role.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience across PPC, website management and content creation is essential.
- Hands-on PPC experience, including setting up, managing, monitoring and optimising paid search campaigns, ideally using Google Ads.
- Website management experience, including WordPress, content updates and ongoing website optimisation.
- Strong content creation experience, with the ability to plan and produce engaging, conversion-focused content for websites, social media and digital campaigns.
- Experience planning and managing digital marketing campaigns across multiple online channels.
- Experience using website and campaign analytics to measure performance, identify opportunities and inform improvements.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practice.
- Experience using Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Search Console and similar reporting tools.
- Good understanding of AI search trends and emerging digital marketing technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary
· £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
