Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of trades, contributing to diverse projects that range from building and renovation to maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop their skills in multiple areas of construction. This position is vital in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing, door and window installation, and general woodworking.
- Support roofing projects by preparing surfaces, installing materials, and performing repairs.
- Carry out construction painting to prepare surfaces and apply finishes that meet project specifications.
- Perform plumbing tasks including pipe installation, repairs, and fixture fitting.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks across multiple trades.
- Support electrical installations by assisting with wiring, conduit installation, and basic electrical repairs.
- Fabricate components on-site using appropriate tools and techniques to meet project needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred; willingness to learn new skills across different construction disciplines is essential.
