Job Overview
We’re seeking engaging, guest-focused Bar Staff who excel at creating exceptional experiences for party guests. You’ll be primarily front-facing, ensuring smooth bar service, while also supporting light event tasks (mic setup, space prep) and occasional cleaning duties as part of a small team. You’ll thrive in a lively, social environment and bring a calm, professional approach to guest interactions, even during busy periods.
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, responsive bar service during private parties and events
- Handle card-only transactions accurately and discreetly; ensure guest privacy and data security
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and adjacent service areas; assist with light cleanup as needed
- Support event logistics: mic checks, light décor/space prep guidance, and coordination with event hosts
- Monitor guest flow, pace service to avoid bottlenecks, and de-escalate any concerns with tact
- Collaborate effectively with a 2–3 person team to ensure seamless service
- Adhere to venue policies, safety, and responsible service of alcohol
- Respond promptly to requests from party organizers and guests while upholding our service standards
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to deliver excellent guest experiences
- Comfortable working in a small team with flexibility to take on non-bar duties (light cleaning, setup/packing, mic checks)
- Card-only payment handling experience; commitment to accuracy and privacy
- Ability to stay professional and energized during late evenings and weekends
- Experience in a party, event, or hospitality setting is a plus
- Basic cocktail knowledge or willingness to learn on the job is preferred (training provided)
- Availability for core Fridays and Saturdays; occasional daytime Saturday/Sunday or weekday evenings
Pay: £13.50 per hour
