To be employed in this role you must have held a HGV Class 2 Licence for at least 24 months, and have no more than 6 points on your licence.
About the Role
Our driving team has an important front-line role in maintaining our success and reputation. We are in the confidential waste management sector and provide onsite services for a number of our clients. This role is of course about safe driving, but it's also about delivering excellent customer service to our stores!
You'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out driver checks before you start the engine.
- Report any defects to the operations team.
- The route start times can vary day to day so flexibility is key. The route is also a multidrop and can vary in number of drops per day.
- Carrying out collections in the most efficient way possible – our regional planning team are working hard behind the scenes to ensure our routes are scheduled in the most efficient way possible.
- Time management is key, but always safely, making sure our reputation for excellence includes driving!
About You
Excellent service calls for high personal standards amongst the whole team. You'll be a careful and considerate driver who's willing to go the extra mile both on and off the roads. You'll be naturally friendly, helpful and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results.
Requirements:
- You must possess a Category C or HGV 2 licence + current drivers CPC together with a digital tachograph.
- Be physically active due to the nature of the role and have the ability to lift bags weighing up to 30kgs
- A clear CRB check
Monday to Friday: 40 - 55 hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
