We are seeking a reliable and practical Casual Farm Maintenance & Grounds Assistant to support our farm team on a temporary basis until approximately mid-November.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, has good practical skills, and is happy to assist with a variety of maintenance and grounds duties to help keep the farm operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the farm, including minor building and fencing repairs, basic upkeep of equipment and facilities, and other maintenance tasks as required.
· Operate ride-on lawn mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment to maintain lawns, paddocks, and communal areas.
· Assist with the general presentation and upkeep of the farm by keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
· Support the farm team with a range of seasonal and day-to-day tasks as required.
· Identify and report maintenance issues to ensure they are addressed promptly.
· Work safely and follow all farm health and safety procedures.
The successful applicant will:
· Have previous experience in general maintenance, property maintenance, farming, landscaping, or a similar practical role.
· Be confident using ride-on lawn mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
· Have good practical skills and be capable of carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks.
· Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Hold a current driver's licence (preferred).
